The Champions League is Europe’s elite club competition, but not every team is good enough to qualify for it. For those teams, this is where the Europa League comes into play. When there are matches being played in this competition, we will give you our football prediction opinions for some of the best games, hopefully helping you to win extra cash. Read on to find out all that you need to know.

The Bookmakers That We Use for Our Europa League Predictions

Which Bookmaker Has the Best Bonuses to Bet on the Europa League?

We will now take the time to look at some Nigerian sportsbooks that offer quality promotions for those who want to place a bet on the Europa League.

NetBet

At the time of writing, NetBet have a promotion where if you bet N500 on a 3-fold football accumulator each week, they will give you a free bet that is worth N500.
Once you qualify for this promotional offer, you will, of course, be able to use your free bet on a Europa League match of your choice.

They also have another promotion that could see you receive a refund of up to N100,000 if the game that you bet on finishes 0-0. To qualify for this promotion, you first have to place a bet of up to N100,000 on 1×2 market in the Premier League, or La Liga.
If that match ends in a 0-0 draw, then NetBet will give you a free bet worth the original stake that you can use on whatever football match you like.

Betfair

They have a great loyalty promotion running that will see you get a 5-euro bonus if you spend 15 euros on accumulators during the week. The accumulator has to have three selections or more and total odds of 4.00 or higher. Your bonus money will be paid out the following Monday. There does not seem to be a time limit set for you to use your bonus money, which is great as you will be able to save it for some Europa League fixtures that take place on a Thursday evening.

Nairabet

NairaBet offer a promotion that is known as a “One Game Cut”. They know the agony of missing out on a big acca just because of one match, so if you place an accumulator of 10 matches or more and only one team messes it up for you, NairaBet will still pay you a percentage of the winnings that you would have made had that team gone on to win instead of losing.

There are always plenty of Europa League matches being played on a Thursday night, so if you have an account with NairaBet, you should definitely try your luck with this type of promotion.

Keep in Mind

With sportsbooks, the promotions are always changing, so if you sign up with one of the aforementioned bookies just after reading this page, there is a chance the promotions are different to the ones that we just mentioned. If this is the case, do not worry as we are sure that they will provide you with other fantastic promotions that you will be able to use on Europa League games.

Who Offers the Best Odds for Betting on the Europa League?

After reading our UEFA Europa League predictions, you will be looking for a sportsbook to join, one of the main things that you will look for is whether they provide competitive odds. This is a normal thing to do as everybody wants to get the best value for their hard-earned money.

When it comes to the best odds, you really cannot get much better than Pinnacle. They are not a Nigerian bookmaker, but they are more than happy to accept players from Nigeria. Pinnacle do not offer their customers a Welcome Bonus or any promotions, but they do offer the best odds on the market. In our opinion, getting the best odds constantly is a lot better than getting a Welcome Bonus that will eventually run out and being treated to some promotions once in a while.

Pinnacle provides great odds for all sporting events, so if you would like to place a wager on some Europa League matches, you will be able to take advantage of the best odds if you decide to create a Pinnacle account.

Best Welcome Bonuses to Bet on the Market

However, we fully understand that there are many gamblers who would like a Welcome Bonus and regular promotions.

If you happen to be one such person, then you will be happy to hear that you will get competitive Europa League odds at the other popular Nigerian bookmakers such as:

  • NairaBet
  • 1Xbet
  • Bet9ja
  • 22Bet
  • 1XBet
  • Betway
  • Betfair
  • NetBet
  • Surebet247
  • Lionsbet

In other words, you will be able to take advantage of good Europa League odds with whichever bookie you decide to register with.

Why Do We Offer UEFA Europa League Predictions for Free

The main reason why we offer our readers Europa League predictions for today is because we care about you. At the end of the day, our main aim in life is to provide you with valuable information that will hopefully help you go on to win a higher percentage of your bets.

How Do We Make the Right Prediction?

We are able to provide you with solid predictions because our writers are huge football fans that have been watching football for a very long time. When they are making a Europa League prediction, they will use all of the football knowledge that they have accrued over the years as well as the stats available to them, so that they can provide you with predictions that have a high chance of being correct.

Example Of A Prediction That Can Be Found On Our Site

For example, let us take a look at the Round of 16 match between Copenhagen and Istanbul Basaksehir. Copenhagen qualified for this round by beating Celtic 4-2 on aggregate, while Basaksehir qualified by beating Sporting CP 5-4 on aggregate. Both of these teams have had a very solid domestic season, with both sitting second in their respective leagues. These two teams are good defensively and are very evenly matched, as was seen in the first leg which was won 1-0 by the Turkish side. We expect another close game in the second leg, with Copenhagen winning 1-0. Therefore, the match will be taken to extra time, where we reckon Copenhagen will sneak the win. These are the kind of Europa League qualification predictions that can be expected from us.

Why Do We Offer Free Predictions?

Like we said above, we provide Europa league predictions for today for free to our readers because we want to help you win as much cash as possible.

What Exactly is the Europa League?

If you are new to football, then welcome to the greatest sport in the world. Below we will give a brief explanation of the Europa League.

The Europa League is basically the Champions League’s smaller brother and, unlike with the Champions League, there are a number of different ways that a team can qualify.

What Teams Take part in this Competition?

In Europe’s biggest leagues such as the Premier League, Serie A, Bundesliga, La Liga, and Ligue 1, the two teams that finish just outside the Champions League spots will be entered into the Europa League. Furthermore, if a team wins a domestic cup, but goes on to finish outside the Europa League places, they will still be entered into the competition.

To add to this, the teams that finish third in their Champions League Group will drop down into this competition. There are many football fans that do not believe that this is fair, and we agree with them.

How do Teams Quality?

There are four qualification rounds that are put in place to find out the 48 teams that will take part in the proper competition. The group stage is made up of 12 groups of four teams, with the teams in each group playing each other twice – once at home and once away.

The top two teams in each group will qualify for the round of 32 – this is where those teams that came third in their groups in the Champions League will enter the competition.

All of the matches, apart from the final, are competed over two legs.

Who Are the Favourites to Win?

The 2019/2020 Europa League has entered the knockout stages. Four teams have already qualified for the quarter-finals, but the competition has now been put on hold due to the Corona outbreak.

Who Are the Favourites to Win This Competition this Season?

Below we will take a look at who we believe to be five of the favourites to lift the trophy this year.

Manchester United

A football club the size of Manchester United should really be in the Champions League, but they are having a very good run in this competition. They only lost one game in the group stage (when they had already qualified and played the kids), then they went on to beat Club Brugge 6-1 on aggregate and they have basically already qualified for the quarters as they beat LASK 5-0 in the first leg. If they keep on like this, then there is definitely no reason why United cannot go on to lift the trophy.

Arsenal

Like United, a club of Arsenal’s size should be playing in the Champions League, but there was no doubt that many would have been backing Arsenal to go deep into this competition. However, they never truly got going for some reason and after a group stage where they only won 50% of their matches, they went on to lose to Olympiakos in the round of 32 on away goals. Oh well, there is always next year Arsenal fans. Olympiakos will now play Wolves, another English team, in the next round.

Sevilla

When you are thinking about Europa League winners, you can never rule out Sevilla. They are the Europa League’s most successful team, having won it five times. Once again, they are having a very solid competition – they finished top of their group by 5 points and they played CFR Cluj in the round of 32, which they won thanks to the away goal rule. They have a hard match in the last 16 against Roma but considering their record in this competition, only a fool would put a lot of money on them going out.

Bayer Leverkusen

When it comes to football, you simply cannot rule out the Germans. They are always there or thereabouts. Leverkusen were actually in the Champions League, but they had a really difficult group that included Atletico Madrid and Juventus. They were paired with Porto in the round of 32 and they went on to win the tie 5-2 on aggregate. They are now playing Rangers in the round of 16 and they currently hold a 3-1 advantage. When the second leg is played, it is hard to see Rangers having the quality to turn the tie around.

Basel

It is safe to say that Basel might just be the dark horses for this competition. They topped their group with relative ease and then beat APOEL 4-0 on aggregate in the round of 32. They are now playing the German side Eintracht Frankfurt in the round of 16 and they have three away goals to their name. When the competition starts up again, it is really difficult to see Eintracht coming back from such a deficit.

The Europa League Calendar

Because of the Coronavirus pandemic that currently has a lot of the world on lockdown, all of the Europa League fixtures (as well as most other football fixtures) have been postponed in order to prevent more spreading.

We do not know when the remaining matches will be played, but as soon as relevant information is released, we will update this page so that you will have the dates of the important matches.

Tips for Betting on the Europa League

Below we will have a look at some tips that will definitely help you out when you start betting on Europa League matches.

Check domestic form

If you are thinking about placing a bet on a Europa League match, then you really take a couple of minutes to read about the domestic form of the squad that you want to bet on. Why should you do this? Well, it is because teams carry their domestic form into these types of competitions.

For a good example of this, let us look at Inter Milan. They are flying in the Serie A and although they failed to get out of a tricky Champions League group, they went on to dispatch Ludogorets 4-1 in the round of 32. They will now play Getafe in the next round and if they make it through, there will not be a single team that will want to be drawn against them.

Check for injuries and suspensions

When a team is missing some of their best players due to a suspension or injury, then, of course, they are likely to struggle. Therefore, before placing a bet, you should do some homework so that you can find out whether key players are suspended or injured.

Try to find value

If you are thinking of placing a wager on a particular player to score during a game, we highly recommend that you do not opt for a player that scores goals for fun. Okay, there is a good possibility that you will win your bet, but the odds will have been so low that you would have needed to place a large wager to come away with a profit that is even worth talking about.

Instead of picking someone who scores goal after goal, we recommend that you find a defender who is known to score a goal or two – perhaps they take penalties or free-kicks. These types of players will always have much better odds.

Bookmaker Services to Make Use of After Reading Our Europa League Predictions

Sportsbooks have many services that are handy when you are betting on Europa League matches. Below we will have a quick look at streaming and live stats as well as the popular feature that is cash out.

Live Streaming and Live Stats

Live streaming is great when it comes to placing live football bets as it gives you the chance to follow the action and get some idea as to how events are likely to unfold. However, while you can find live streaming for plenty of football matches at bookmakers that accept Nigerian players, we would be mightily surprised if you can find live Europa League streaming. The reason for this is that broadcasters pay vast amounts of money to buy the rights to air Europa League matches.

However, although there will not be live streaming available, there will definitely be live stats available. These are also great when it comes to helping you predict what might happen as a football match progresses.

Cash Out Option

Nowadays, the majority of sportsbooks that you come across will offer their customers the chance to cash out their wagers. The bookies that us Nigerians can sign up to are definitely no different. Everyone loves the cash out feature as it allows customers to make a profit from a wager that looks like it could go on to lose.

For example, let us says that Sevilla were given odds of 4.00 to win this season’s Europa League and you placed N4,000 on them to do exactly that. This would mean that if they go on to win, you will see a profit of N12,000. After their win on away goals in the round of 32 and the fact that they are playing Italian giants Roma next, the bookie that you have an account with has provided a cash out option of N3,500. If you honestly do not think that Sevilla will beat Roma, then you might want to consider taking the cash out option. This means you will only lose N500 instead of N3,500.

When it comes to their cash out offers, NairaBet are known for providing very fair offers.

Europa League Stats to Help with Your Betting

When you want to make your very own Europa League prediction, it is always a good idea to read some stats. So, right now, we are going to provide you with some interesting stats.

Team Who Won the Most

Who has won this competition the most times? Well, just like a Spanish team has won the Champions League the most, a Spanish team has also won the Europa League the most. That squad, is, of course, Sevilla. They have won this competition five times, with the last time being back in 2016.

They have won the title every single time they have been in the final, which is pretty impressive if you ask us.

  • Liverpool
  • Inter Milan
  • Atletico Madrid
  • Juventus

The above teams have all won this competition three times.

However, they have not competed as often as Sevilla as they are usually competing in the Champions League. You might be surprised to hear that no French squad has lifted this trophy – Marseille have reached the final three times (1999, 2004, and 2018) but they have lost on all three occasions.

Which nation has won this competition the most?

Well, Spain sit at the top of the table here with 9 titles, while English and Italian teams have lifted the trophy 7 times. German players have lifted it 6 times, while Dutch teams have been victorious on 4 occasions.
